Job and Industry: Real estate entrepreneur, developer, Realtor, and owner/founder of Domaine Real Estate Group

When you moved to Nashville and why: I moved to Nashville in January of 2008.  Like so many of us here in town, I moved for the music industry and the bigger opportunities in music in Nashville.  After a particularly rough month where I lost record label tour support, a publishing deal, and a bandmate to law school, I decided it might be time to try something else!  I have been fortunate since that time to own some local businesses and work in a few different industries (including wine, franchising, and real estate) and find myself in real estate at a particularly dynamic time in our great city!

Favorite Athens spot: I'm one of the rare townies that you may have encountered while wandering the bricks of Court Street, so I have many favorite spots in town.  I'd been eating breakfast at Casa Nueva since the mid 80s and it was my go-to weekend brunch spot (full order of Huevos Rancheros with salsa verde).  Going back to Casa at night for some music and some Great Lakes on draft (for, like, $2.50 a pint at happy hour!).  I was a regular at the Front Room open mic on Friday (especially in the old Baker Center).  Hiking (and occasionally questionable swimming) at Stroud's Run/Dow Lake.  My Dad's office at Ellis Hall.  A beer (or three) on the rear porch of Jackie O's (though it was O'hooley's at the time).

Favorite Nashville spot: My house--no where better to kick back with a glass of wine!  A nice lunch with my wife on the patio at Epice on a Spring day.  The Ryman for anything.  A quick vacation night at The Hermitage Hotel (including a drink at The Oak Bar and some delicious room service).  Strolling downtown Franklin in early fall.  Hiking at Radnor Lake.  A cup of coffee and a catch-up session with friends and colleagues at Revelator Coffee in Hillsboro Village.

When you moved to Nashville and why: I moved to Nashville in 1998 to work for the Nashville Sounds. I planned to stay here for a few seasons. It was my first time in Nashville, and I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. Broadway was nothing but Boot Stores. Almost 20 years later, I'm glad I stayed to see the city grow.

When you moved to Nashville and why: I moved to Nashville in June 2015. After finishing graduate school in West Virginia, I was ready to make a big change. I had only visited Nashville once before moving, but I had so much fun on that visit that I didn't hesitate to move when I was offered my job. I am a big music fan so being able to see as much live music as I want has been a dream come true.

Favorite Athens spot: Tony's Tavern

When you moved to Nashville and why: I moved to Nashville at the end of 2016. After 9 years in Athens, my wife and I were ready for a new adventure and a change of scene. Nashville was the perfect choice for us because we have a lot of family in the area, and we have always enjoyed the culture of the town when visiting. It didn't take long for Nashville to feel like home! It's been a lot of fun exploring and getting to know the area better.

When you moved to Nashville and why: I interned at a public relations firm in downtown Nashville the summer before graduation and fell in love with the people, the food, everything. I lived here from 2008-2012, spent one year in Denver, Colorado, and then two in Seattle, Washington. Three years away was three too many, and I came running back to my adopted hometown in January 2015.
